Summer evenings leave me with a sensation of relaxation and contentment I find hard to grasp at other times of the year. Maybe it’s because as a New Hampshire native, warm weather always signaled a respite — either a jaunt to someplace warm and balmy like Florida or Hawaii, or summer vacation itself.

To me, these instagrams of the sun setting over the Washington Monument last night as we wrapped up our softball game signal the sense of peace yet expectation that early summer nights bring.

Maybe our team, Swift Justice, lost rather handily to the FEC’s Harry’s Full Disclosure, but still, I do think this will be a good summer.
